Yeah, it squeaks. Damn straight.
Well, Seth said he’s working on a post and I don’t mean to hijack all the attention away from him, but I do feel somewhat obligated to say something in this shiny new space that is Our Blog™, so here I am. From what I see, he’s making a “hey look I’m a seasoned blogger” kind of post, which leaves me to do the grunt work and make the “hey look we have a new blog yippee!” post - so this is it. Please, though, feel free to comment on his entry and not mine, since his is bound to have more actual content and mine is simply the usual commencement riffraff we’ve all seen a billion times before. Or comment on both if you do so choose. We like the attention and we promise that you’ll get what you’ll give, if that encourages any like-minded hitwhores.
So…yeah! Introduction, since neither of us has gotten around to writing a real one yet (save for the nonsensical blurb you see at the bottom of the page) - I’m Leila, Seth is my partner in crime, this is our BLOG. We write here. You want to know more, you say? Silly little details - he’s nineteen and from Nebraska, I’m seventeen and from New York, we met on an online message board, weren’t aware of each other’s existences for a couple years, then we talked on the phone and fell in love and met and we’re just absolutely positively wonderfully giddy over each other, so giddy that we decided that blogging was a good idea. We’re both cheapskates, we wouldn’t dare break up now since that would mean this domain and the $27 it costs for a year of hosting would have to go. Also, we both like to write; Seth’s never blogged before but I somehow managed to talk him into it, and I used to have a blog (braintreason.net - hi guyz lawl!) but it got lame but now I’m over the lameness so I’m back.
You’ll notice that the design is blue and shades of brown - this is not an allusion to autumn, which is arriving all too slowly in the Northern Hemisphere, but rather a color scheme I chose because I read an article on color trends and it said that blue and brown were becoming increasingly lamer and that blue and silver is the new “in” thing. Take that, trend trackers!
But that’s about all I have to say, I think. Hopefully you, dear visitor, will read this and feel your interest piqued and your brain tickled and your loins set aflame with a desire to come back and visit again. Starting out is the most difficult time, because you have to establish a readership (that’s a word? wow) from scratch…this is when content is most crucial, but since we lack any at all we (I) must revert to sucking-up tactics to hook you in!
Enough of that, though. I never thought I’d say this, but since it’s the first post, I’ll do it just once: thanks for visiting, please come again soon. :)
I think this post is really sweet and cute. Just like you. I love you forever sweetness. This blog thing is pretty neat. I hope we get some people to read it >_>.
<3<3<3s
This blog seems like such a sweet idea! I’m definitely intrigued, so you’ve already got a readership of at least one.
Aww you guys sound so sweet together! *Envy rising…*
You’ve been added to my Google Reader. :) Welcome back Bliss!
Awww…the girlfriend/boyfriend blog, sweet idea!
I met my boyfriend online too. =)
I love the colours, brown and blue is my favourite colour combo :3 Good to have you back in the “blogosphere” too.
I can’t believe I just used the word blogosphere.
I like the color scheme. Those bastards think they have the sixth sense on trends!
I don’t read blogs, but I did this time ’cause you guys are cool beans.
I’m glad to have finally found a blog where the posts pull me in before the pretty layoutness. Which is odd, because I’m usually exclusively attracted to aesthetics, or at least that’s how I am initially…
Hoorah to couple blogging. Fun idea, and I love both of your writing styles. :)
